Other Funding Sources: There is a thrift store on the site. This fun shop features a denim bling shop and has small household decor items. The other funding project is the Grouse Valley Lodge -a rental cottage on the site. The price is always $54 a night. It features a full kitchen, a gas fireplace, and a loft area. Sleeps six. .Also the Honeysuckle Lodge - Hunter's cabin - sleeps six. 550 square feet and a huge deck. Outside gas grill. Fire pit. Book day, week, month. Available for events, weddings, extended stays. $75 per night - other extended stay rates available. To book either: use TripAdvisor or Air B & B. 

Eastern Cowley County Resource Center is a 501 (c) (3) with a focus on literacy since 2003. We provide many educational services and a full-service library.


We provide a safe, friendly study environment on site. We also have online programs available. Programs include GED Prep, Computer courses, Robotics for children and youth, and a full K-12 school. Study toward earning your high school diploma. Visit Lighthouse Academy at the Library on the site.


Our  sustaining programs are a fun shop, the Treasure Chest, the Honeysuckle Lodge, and the Grouse Valley Lodge. We also have a Kansas state registered Farmers Market & Community Garden. The  Market offers fresh foods in season & booth space for area growers.

ECCRC is funded by private and corporate donations. Mail your tax deductible donation to: ECCRC, PO Box 40, Dexter, KS 67038. Programs are free. We provide quarterly community events that are always free and always include lunch or dinner during the event. Spring: Dress Like A Pirate Day Health & Safety Fair
